

He was born in Havre de Grace, MD on September 4, 1957.
He married Daniel A. Bradford on July 19. 2008, after being together since 1995.
Charles had a career in sales for GAP and Whole Foods before starting his own business in catering, landscape and interior design.
He has a passion for using his artistic abilities in his many hobbies/interests. He enjoyed interior design/decoration, cooking/playing host and designing/constructing costumes/garments. He was a member of the San Diego Costume Guild and loved to wear the outfits he made to variety of events. He worked as Santa Claus/Father Christmas for several years to various locations in and around San Diego. He "retired" in 2017 but continued to work on the numerous projects required to keep the 108-year-old house where he lived in tip-top condition.
He is survived by his brother Ron Bowling of NC, his sister Beth Higgins(Daniel) of NC. And his uncle Rev Dr. Charles Long of TN, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Charles is preceded in death by his father John Bowling Sr., his mother Gladys Ann Bowling, brothers Roger Bowling and John Bowling Jr. and nephew Daniel Bowling.
There will be no funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations be made to a food outreach program or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
