Ciriaco Curayag Adonga

Ciriaco Adonga was born on August 8, 1959, in Bohol, Philippines. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a man whose life was defined by service, love, faith, and family.

Ciriaco is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia, and their three children, Carlo, Camille, and Calvin. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Diana, and his grandsons, Hunter and Maverick; his son-in-law, Fernan, and his grandsons, Peter and Philip; and his daughter-in-law, Jessirae.

In 1985, Ciriaco began a distinguished career in the United States Navy. Throughout his 30 years of service, he was stationed in Hawaii, Illinois, and San Diego. He dedicated himself to serving his country and his fellow sailors, ultimately retiring as EMCM, Electrician's Mate Master Chief Petty Officer.

While on active duty, Ciriaco continued to pursue his education and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering followed by his Master’s Degree from National University in Science & Environmental Management. His accomplishments were a reflection of his determination, discipline, and lifelong desire to better himself.

Ciriaco was also a man of deep faith. He was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Church and actively participated in the Knights of Columbus and the Miraculous Medal Prayer Group of San Diego, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he found joy in being part of his church community.

But beyond his accomplishments, titles, and years of service, Ciriaco was, above all, a family man.

There was nothing he enjoyed more than being surrounded by his family and friends. He cherished the time spent together, creating memories that his loved ones will carry with them for the rest of their lives. He was fortunate to travel the world with his family, sharing experiences and adventures that became treasured memories.

Ciriaco also found happiness in the simple things in life. Whether he was tending to his garden, enjoying a round of golf, traveling with his family, or simply sitting among friends and loved ones, he was happiest when he was surrounded by others.

As a husband, Ciriaco was devoted and loving. As a father, he was dependable, supportive, and always willing to lend a helping hand. As a grandfather, he found a special kind of joy in his grandchildren. And as a friend, he was someone you could always count on.

Ciriaco was the kind of person who would show up when you needed him. He didn’t always need to say much to let you know he cared. His actions spoke for him.

Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we can find comfort in knowing that the love Ciriaco gave to his family and friends does not end with his life. It lives on in his children, his grandchildren, his family, his friends, and in every person whose life he touched.

His stories will be remembered. His laughter will be missed. His guidance will continue to live in the hearts of those he raised and loved. And the lessons he taught through his dedication, faith, kindness, and devotion to family will be carried forward for generations.

Ciriaco will be greatly missed, but he will never be forgotten.
