DAVID L. RIVERA, "Pop", 84 years old, of Chula Vista, passed away on August 8, 2013. David was born in Sonora, Mexico to Roman and Josefa Rivera on September 6, 1928. On September 25, 1949, he married the love of his life, Francisca Sotelo. Together they created a family of three sons and one daughter. David worked in the construction industry for twenty-five years. He was a member of the Laborer's International Union of North America. In his spare time David enjoyed baseball, bowling and bird watching.
His true passion in life was his family and spending time with them.
David is survived by his spouse Francisca, his daughter Gilda, his three sons; David, Jorge and Daniel, his brother Lazaro and six grandchildren; Christina, Gabriela, Magali, Brianna, David and Santino.
Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey will have a visitation on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 4~8 pm. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. Location is 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, California 91910.
Final Resting Place will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
