Dolores Alaniz

Dolores Alaniz, 80 years of age, of San Diego, California, passed away on November 1, 2015. She was born in Escuinapa, Sinaloa, Mexico on June 11, 1935 She married the love of her life, Pablo Alaniz on August 1,1965. They were blessed with 50 loving years of marriage and two daughters, Mariela and Marissa.

Throughout her life, Dolores was known for kind and generous nature. She made many friends who enjoyed her vivacious company throughout the years. She was a member of a women's social club, "Club Amistad" for many years. Her favorite passions in life were spending time with her family, especially when her grandchildren would come to visit. She also enjoyed dancing and listening to her favorite, Mariachi music.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Pablo, her daughters, Mariela Alaniz Castanares, and Marissa Alaniz Vallejos, and her son-in-law, Christopher Vallejos.

Her legacy of grandchildren include Alyssa Mariela Machuca, (Jose), Veronica Alejandra Castanares, Cecilia Alaniz Vallejos and Lance Christopher Vallejos. Surviving siblings are Efrain Medina, Maria de Jesus Medina de Raygoza and Norma Medina de Moreno. She was predeceased by siblings Carmelita Guzman, Armando Medina and Oscar Medina.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista. California, 91910 on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A vigil prayer service will be officiated by Deacon Margarito Lozoya at 5:00 p.m. that evening.
