Dolores Rios

Dolores ‘Loli’ falleció el 18 de agosto de 2026. Nació artista el 20 de marzo de 1942. Dibujaba, pintaba, esculpía y declamaba. Los que tuvimos la suerte de experimentar su arte sabemos lo talentosa que era.

En las semanas previas a su partida, pudo sentir cuánto la querían muchos de ustedes que la llamaron o la visitaron, y también por la constante compañía de su esposo José Luis, sus hijas Irma, Jackie y Analy, sus nietos Blythe, Sierra, Anáhuac, Keith y Anaís, bisnietos Breeze, Aydan y Xander, yernos Doug y Luis, mejores amigas Lupe, Maelena y Analuz, y las familias Santellanes, Carrillo, Acosta, López, Holguín y Díaz.

Para honrar su vida bien vivida, como artista, hermana, amiga, esposa, madre, tía, abuela, bisabuela y mujer, estamos organizando una celebración de vida con sus cenizas el 25 de septiembre. La recordaremos cuando veamos su arte, escuchemos la música que amaba, veamos fotos de ella a lo largo de su vida, compartamos recuerdos de ella. y disfrutemos algunos de sus platos favoritos. Celebremos su vida tal como ella la vivió: llena de amor, risas y recuerdos.

Dolores ‘Loli’ passed away on August 18, 2026. She was born an artist on March 20, 1942. She sketched, painted, sculpted & recited poetry. Those of us lucky enough to have experienced her art know how talented she truly was.

In the weeks leading up to her passing, she experienced how much she was loved by the many of you who called or visited her, and by the constant presence of her husband Jose Luis, daughters Irma, Jackie & Analy, grandchildren Blythe, Sierra, Anahuac, Keith & Anais, great-grandchildren Breeze, Aydan & Xander, sons-in-law Doug & Luis, best friends Lupe, Maelena & Analuz, and familas Santellanes, Carrillo, Acosta, López, Holguín & Díaz.

To honor, her well lived life, as the artist, sister, friend, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and woman, we are hosting a celebration of life with her cremains on September 25th. We will remember her when we see her art, listen to the music she loved, see pictures of her throughout her life, share memories of her, and enjoy some of her favorite dishes. Let’s celebrate her life the way she lived it - full of love, laughter & memories.
