Edward J. Ruiz, age 89, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Saturday August 31, 2019. Edward was born October 31, 1929 in Los Angeles, California.

Edward is survived by his spouse, Ofelia V. Ruiz; son Edward "Ed" V. Ruiz; daughter Magdalena "Maggie" R. Patron; and son Hector V. Ruiz.

A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral mass will occur Friday, September 13, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1245 Fourth Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91911. A final resting place will occur Friday, September 13, 2019 at La Vista Memorial Park, 3191 Orange Street, National City.
