Elvira Lara De Medina

Elvira Lara De Medina, 93 years old, of San Diego, passed away on June 29, 2016. She was born in Cananea, Sorona, Mexico on February 5, 1923. She married the love of her life, Robert Moraga Median on May 8, 1949. They were blessed with 3 children.

Elvira's passion in life was to care and cook for her family. She loved spending quality time with her three daughters and later her four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Elvira was predeceased by her husband Robert and her daughter Adelina Medina Gonzalez. She is survived by two daughters, Rose Mary Medina and Gloria Jean Medina Miramontes. Her legacy includes her grandchildren; Ricardo F. Miramontes, Gloria A. Garcia, Roxana I. Diaz and Rosa Maria Medina-Vsuda.

Great grandchildren are Robert, Roman and Olivia Miramontes, Julio Andres, Ezequiel and Diego Garcia, and Isabella, Santiago and Salvador Diaz.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, California, 91910 on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass in her honor will be celebrated at St. Charles Catholic Church, 990 Saturn Boulevard, San Diego, California 92154 on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
