He was born in Denver, Colorado on January 30, 1977.
Eric graduated from High School in 1995 and joined the US Navy. After the military he had an assortment of jobs. It was while working at the Holiday Inn in Downtown San Diego where he met his wife, Shannon.
They were married in February of 2014. They have two children, Hannah and Evan, who Eric absolutely adored. Eric’s family was his whole world.
Eric worked at the Wyndham (which was originally the Holiday Inn) as a Bellman and Shuttle Driver. He had earned his Helicopter Pilot License and was building up more flying hours so that he could get a job as a pilot. He loved flying and was excited to have already found a business that would hire him when he had enough hours.
Eric had a silly sense of humor. He could do amazing impressions, from foreign accents to Donald Duck. It was rare to get a picture of him where he wasn’t making a silly face. He loved photo-bombing pictures. He also loved to play little pranks, like putting googly eyes on random items to be found later, or putting plastic lizard or spider toys in hidden spots for his family to find.
Eric was a talented artist. He could draw intricate images from memory.
He was a big fan of comics, especially Superman. He could have incredibly detailed discussions about comic book characters and their storylines.
Eric brought a smile to everyone who knew him. He was always silly and kind. He was an amazing father and husband.
Eric is survived by his wife Shannon, his daughter Hannah, his son Evan, and his brother Richard.
He will truly be missed. May he rest in peace.
