Eric “Rick” M. Humphrey, 68, passed away on March 26, 2026. Born February 25, 1958, Eric was beloved and gentle, and he will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection. After this introduction, Rick will be remembered simply as Rick by those who knew and loved him. Rick was a resident of Chula Vista, California.
Rick found quiet satisfaction in the simple, meaningful work of his hands. He enjoyed wood working and gardening, interests that reflected his patient nature and steady care for the world around him.
Rick is survived by his spouse, Marina E. Humphrey; his sons, Justin Humphrey and Jake Humphrey; his grandson, Riley Humphrey; and his sisters, Diane Sutherland and Judie Alvey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Chula Vista, Rose Chapel, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910, on April 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
