Estelle Smith Watson, 82, of San Diego, passed away January 15, 2018. She was born in New York City on April 11, 1935. Estelle graduated from East Hartford High School and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband, William Ersch Watson.
Estelle was Navy Veteran and later worked for Riverside County as a Welfare fraud investigator. She was a resident of Paradise Village Assisted Living in National City and had a passion for Major League Baseball, especially the Angels.
She is survived by her children, Wendy Watson of Moreno Valley, California, Elizabeth Rita of Kalaheo, Hawaii, and Janine Watson of San Diego. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole Rhodes, Rachael McElroy, James Watson, Cory Rita, Jessica Rita, Laura Rita and Mary Watson. She had 17 great grandchildren.
