Alberto Delgado, the second son in a family of four boys. On November 9, 1949, he married the love of his life, Josefina Delgado and was blessed with four children and a marriage of sixty-five years. Felix had a career with Convair General Dynamics and the Department of the Navy, NARF North Island. He dedicated himself as a foreman in their paint shop for twenty years of exemplary service. He was a member of the Lions Club Civic Organization. His passions in life, first and foremost were spending time with his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed coaching Little League and supporting the games of his favorite baseball team, the San Diego Padres. Felix was a proud Navy Veteran, assigned to the USS Stickell during World War II and the Korean War.
Felix is survived by his wife, Josefina Delgado, his four children, Margaret Delgado-Lynn, Diana Delgado, Linda Cooper and Albert F. Delgado. His sons-in-law, Bill Lynn and Jack Cooper, and daughter-in-law, Victoria Delgado. His legacy includes five grandchildren, Albert G. Wertz, Monica A. Wertz, Albert Delgado, Karina Delgado and Diego Delgado. He is also survived by two brothers, Albert Delgado and Richard Delgado. Predeceased by his oldest brother, Gonzalo Delgado.
A Memorial Mass in his honor will be held on June 1, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, located at 2020 Alaquinas Dr., San Ysidro, CA 92173 Immediately followed by an Inurnment with Military Honors at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Impression Mausoleum, located at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at Chula Vista Golf Course, 4475 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA. 91902.
