Frederick L. Shaumeyer Sr. Born August 12th, 1937 passed away on November 24, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He fought a long battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his wife Gerry of 56 years. Daughter Virginia, Son in law Rick, Son Frederick Jr., Son Robert Dean, Grandchildren Melissa and Jennifer, Great Grandchildren Terrene, Rachel and Samantha, and his brother Ronald D. Shaumeyer. Fred served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years retired a PN Chief. Went to National University received a degree in Business Admin. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve branch 61, and Loyal Order of Moose. He was a tutor for the Oasis Program. Fred loved helping children and working in our community. He believes in a Moose saying "a burden heavy to one is born lightly by many". He enjoyed children so much. He will be missed and his memory treasured forever. Service will at 11:30am at First United Methodist Church 1200 East H St Chula Vista. Following the service Fred will be inurned at Miramar National Cemetery.
