Gidgett Margaret Monsivais, 49, was born on September 14, 1976, in El Paso, Texas, and passed away on August 26, 2026. Gidgett will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her, for a life marked by steady faith, genuine compassion, and a thoughtful presence that brought comfort to others.
Gidgett graduated from San Diego City College, where she received a diploma as a Substance Abuse Counselor. She carried that knowledge forward with quiet wisdom and a kind heart, offering care that reflected both her integrity and her devotion to helping others find their way through difficult seasons.
With her diploma from San Diego City College, Gidgett built a career as a Substance Abuse Counselor for Crash. In that work, Gidgett’s compassion and attentiveness were evident—qualities that made her not only respected, but truly beloved by those who had the privilege of being supported by her.
Gidgett is survived by her son, Nathaniel Monsivais; her mother, Lilia Monsivais; her sister, Jaclyn Monsivais; her nephew, Robert; and her niece, Elena.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Chula Vista, Serenity Chapel, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910, on September 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
