Iva Lee Rasco
August 29, 1931 – August 7, 2019
Iva Lee Rasco passed away on August 7, 2019, in LA Mesa, CA, she was 87 years old. A native of San Diego, Iva Lee was born in National City to Warner Bert Kilcrease & Willie Mae Miller on August 29, 1931, and married Donald Ray Rasco on her birthday in 1951. She resided in National City, Chula Vista, & Santee.
Iva Lee worked as a cook at Ballard Bakery, a grill cook at North Island Naval base, and as a special needs Teachers Aide. One of her proudest accomplishments came late in life when she received her GED and then continued on to earn an AA in Early Childhood Education from Southwestern College in 1981.
Iva Lee is preceded in death by her husband Donald, daughter Myra Vargas, son Larry, sisters Lucille Ballard, Emogene Szabo, Imogene Wright, Barbara Mae Adney, brothers Wesley & Rodney.
Iva Lee is survived by her daughter Ivalena Cervantes, sons Gabriel, Patrick, & Mark Rasco. Iva Lee will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice that brought joy to all who listened.
Viewing (9:00 am) & memorial service (11:00 am) will be held at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista on Monday, August 19, 2019. A procession to La Vista Memorial Park & Mortuary will follow at noon with a small graveside remembrance at 1:00 pm.
