Born Jane Bacharach in Philadelphia, one of twin girls. After graduating from high school, she attended business college. Married to Claude Kugelman, she had two sons - Jay and Jon. Several years after Claude's death from a heart attack, she remarried and moved to San Diego, settling in Whispering Palms. The marriage ended in divorce and Jane lived on her own for some years in Encinitas before marrying Len Fogassey, a widower who, by coincidence, was a former neighbor from Whispering Palms. So, when she moved into Len's condo, it was a homecoming of sorts. They played lots of golf and did their share of partying. When Len died, Jane continued to live in his condo - a happy bridge player until her death at age 102.
