I wish I could wake up and this would all just be a dream doesn't seem real to me and then another day has passed you're not here I see you in in strangers walking down the street I hear a laugh her voice that sounds like you believe it or not Joey I love you so much and I miss you I want to thank you for the biggest gift you could have ever given to me your daughter I see you in her and every day I will be reminded of such a beautiful soul that you were here on Earth with us please forgive me for not being there to say goodbye in the flesh you already know me and if I had a choice I would have been there nobody knows our relationship and I have to respect your family's wishes because you've always respected me and you've been very humble very kind I love you Joey and your talents as a musician I play your videos I listen to your guitar on the drums on the babies toys drum set or just little buckets that we had laying around you made them sound so professional you are a great guitar player musician and you have instilled that in your daughter forever I will hear your music in my heart I'm so sorry Joey I wish I could have taken all the pain away it was so much too much for one person to carry alone  and  I respect to you and your family I pray and I hope that one day we can all have time to get together and show Sky your daughter the meaning of kindness love forgiveness and show her the value of family you have taken a little piece of my heart. the music and beat i will never be the same .with much love and respect  your Daughters grandma.Jessica..

el dia viernes, julio 19,1991 abriste por primera vez. el sabado 16 de septiembre de 2023 los cerraste por ultima vez. es ese trascurso de tiempo vivimos por una infinidad de cosas tantas buenas como malas. pero el consuelos que me queda es que me toco demostrarte con hechos no tan solo palabras lo mucho que te queria y significabas para mi. aunque suene raro yo siento la persona mas habladora y me quede sin palabras ante esta adversidad. el ser humano esta siempre  esperando una fecha en especial. el de cumpleanos, boda, etc.  y la mas importante la del nacimiento de un hijo. pero por primera vez en mi vida hay una fecha que no quiero que llegue. es la del LUNES, OCTUBRE 02,2023. las razon es obvia no quiero verte partir de esta vida. pero a la vez no debo de ser egoista puesto que debo entender es para que asi ya no estes sufriendo dolores y mas por tu enfermedad. aunque fisicamente ya no te encuentres fisicamente entre  nosotros. quiero que sepas que en mi mente y corazon permaneceras POR TODA UNA ETERNIDAD. te quiero mucho mas que las palabras dicen. nose si supiste pero fuiste el primer sobrino FELIX. Joey you were always too good of a sport with me, even with my lame little jokes. How I wish I could have you knock at the door right now, I’d make every exception to that sign for you just to have you back. I miss your smile and how you’d shake your head con mis ocurrencias 🤦‍♂️You’re the best and most kind hearted big brother anyone could ask for. Thank you for your love and good sense of humor. 🦀🦀

Such a memorable day. Prior to this, Joey was learning to drive and during the rehearsal, he and I went to go move his dad’s car. Always the sweet and trusting person, he took me seriously when I had told him that he was about to run into someone as he was trying to back up. He freaked out and I burst out laughing. He could never stay too mad at me and by the end of the day we were joking about the day I’d learn to drive and how he’d get me back.  (Which btw, he did.. he was never one to forget 🤭)

Joey was smiling here because he received more money than me. He would always say he was the better Cancer between us two,. Kidding..(about the money)  All jokes aside  we were  so excited to spend our Christmas money, and talk about our new High School  experiences. More importantly we loved being able to spend time with our family and make these memories. He always bought a smile to my face 🖤

Joel que Dios te tenga en su Santa gloria. Le quiero dar gracias a mi señor por haberte puesto en nuestras vidas aunque fue por un corto tiempo. Duele mucho pensar que ya no te vamos a  ver y tener más memorias  o pasar tiempo juntos. Pero el sabe porque decidió llevarte con el. A pesar que nos deja con este dolor inisplicable tenemos que entender que fue su decisión por más dolorosa que sea. También quería decirte que nunca nos vamos a olvidar de ti. Siempre vas estar en nuestros pensamientos felices o tristes pero adentro de nuestros corazones siempre vas a estar vivo. Esto me da esperanza y confianza de que Dios nos va a reunir una vez más en su reino. Te volveremos haber mi querido Joel.

Joey and I were one day and one year apart, and we always shared a deep bond as “crybaby crabs” due to our cancer zodiac. He was and will always be my big brother, and the person who I could bare my soul with. He never passed judgement; he would just lend a gentle ear, and I knew that if ever I needed it, he’d be there to help however he could. Im blessed to have had all those brother and sister moments with him, growing up. We shared so many laughs, tears, fears and more importantly the unbreakable bond of family.
