Biography

For everyone who had an encounter with Jon, they know he was cut from a different cloth. However short the time you experienced with him, you were immediately infected with his smile. His laugh made you laugh and his energy was unforgettable. You could feel that he was full of life and was always ready to have good time. Jon was extremely talented and had uncountable skills that made you turn to him for everything. He was a master with his hands, he loved to tinker with the mechanics of things and loved to figure out how they worked. Jon's forte was construction, he liked that he could gather components and make them into something useful. From a young age Jon was extremely athletic. He discovered his favorite pass time was swimming when his father encouraged him to join a swimming team. He was a competitive swimmer and qualified for the Junior Olympics at the age of 12. Later in life he became obsessed with working out and was by far the strongest in the family. If you had the pleasure of receiving a signature hug from this humble giant, you would never forget it. You would feel the chiropractic relief as he popped all of your vertebrae, then feel slight suffocation from his powerful embrace as he lifted you a foot off the ground. Jon was a family man, he spent all the time he could with his loved ones, especially Mom. Jon loved being there for his mom in every way he could, made sure she never had to lift a finger if he could help it. A true gentlemen, considerate of the ones he loved and showed his love with acts of service. Jon's favorite place to go was the beach. He would swim for hours in the open ocean and look down at the sea life. There were countless times he visited La Jolla Cove, where he would swim from the cove all the way across to La Jolla Shores Beach with ease. It's impossible to sum up Jon's huge personality, he was a kid at heart, and it was no wonder he could find ways of charming children. He was great with all kids, he knew exactly how to make them fall in love with him. Jon is survived by his mother Irma, father Adolfo and was the youngest of three, his sister, Monica and brother David. Jon was charming, a smooth talker, humble and handsome. We may not have spent a lot of time with him, but the time we spent with him brought a lot of joy. He will be missed dearly. May he rest in peace.
