Jose Octavio Astorga, 72 years old, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on March 14, 2013. He was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico on September 25, 1940. He married Evangelina Barragan on August 3, 1968. Their union lasted over 45 years and they were blessed with three children; Jose Octavio Astorga, Juan Carlos Astorga and Sandra Astorga Cardona.
His legacy includes six grandchildren; Pete Cardona, Andy Cardona, Lucero Astorga, Christian Astorga, Juan Carlos Astorga II, and Javier Enrique Astorga.
Jose Octavio Astorga immigrated to the United States and began working in the Manufacturing Industry. He enjoyed spending his time at the horse races. In 1978 with some of those race track winnings he was able to purchase a home for his family in National City. The same home they still live in today. His treasured moments were watching his kids grow up in this home and then his grandchildren playing out in the yard.
He is dearly loved by all of his family and will be missed.
