Jose Alberto Sosa Jr., 96, of Chula Vista, passed away on April 20, 2025. He was born in Calexico and worked as a forklift operator for Wester Lumber. Jose Alberto Sosa Jr. was a member of the American Legion, a faithful parishioner at St.Rose of Lima Catholic Church and also serve as an usher, Eucharistic minister. Jose also volunteered for the SHARE Program which later became the Sister Delores Social Outreach Program.
He is survived by his children, Jose F. Sosa (wife-Aida) and Sandra V. Huster(husband-Bill). His grandchildren, Gina, Lizzy, Billy, and Jessica. His great-grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Iliana, Mia, Jayden, Nayelli, Sophia, and great-great grandson Santiago. brothers and sisters: Guillermo, Maclovia, Carlos, and Norma.
A viewing will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista "Serenity Chapel" followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Chula Vista on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2:00pm.There will be a graveside service with Military Honors immediately following the mass at Glen Abbey Memorial Park located Bonita, CA 91902.
