She was born in Hawaii, and grew up in Oakland, Calif. She attended Castlemont High School where she was active in many sports including:
rowing, tennis and basketball. She also loved bicycle riding and ice skating. She married Jack Miranda (deceased) in 1940 and resided in
Oakland until 1947, then moved to Chula Vista, Calif.
She is survived by her two daughters Diane Joan Rice and Jacqueline Burton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rick Eshbach, Debbie Eshbach, Anna Gray (Jeremy) and Brian Bazzel (Jennifer). Her Grandson Christopher Eshbach preceded her in death.
She is also survived by her eight beautiful great- granddaughters, Brittany Eshbach, Emilia Eshbach, Sophia Eshbach, Olivia Gray, Sasha Gray,
Bella Bazzel, Lola Bazzel and Sydney Bazzel.
While living in Chula Vista she was surrounded by her large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and her Mom and Dad.
She loved big family get-togethers. She loved to cook and sew. Later in life she became an avid and very talented doll maker. She and Jack traveled to many doll shows over the years, which she loved to do.
She and Jack moved to Hemet, Calif. Jack passed away in 1997 but she continued to reside there for the last twenty years.
