Kamrin Marie Gonzales was born March 7, 2007, at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. She was the second born child to Francine Antoinette Salas, & David Hernandez Gonzales Jr. Kamrin, who’d rather be referred to as, “Kami”, attended, Olympic View Elementary in Kindergarten, and transferred to Vista Square Elementary where she graduated 6th grade in 2019. She completed Junior High at Chula Vista Middle, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kami was 14, just starting her freshman year at Chula Vista High School. She was a Fast & the Furious Ride or Die fan. She would watch Fast & the Furious over and over, and her dream was to have a 370z, a Subaru, or a cool supped up import. She knew a lot about custom cars and would even attend, with her dad, and brother, local import car meet-ups. Though she had no car, still so excited in hopes to one day customize her own. She loved her cats Tofu & Subi, Subi had a special bond with Kami, and Subi loved her in return, always being there by her side. Now both cats lay on her bed as if they were waiting for her, and they miss her too!
Kami would stay up into the early morning hours gaming with her friends playing Now Fortnite, and GTA. During this time, what begun a friendship grew into love, and according to her, was certain that she met the love of her life, boyfriend, Domenick. She was planning soon to meet him in person, and was excited to introduce him to both her mom & dad. Sadly, this introduction never happened, though in death has brought us all together to meet, though we wished the circumstances were different. We can only imagine now how her dreams of one day to marry Domenick, would have been. Talking to Kami, I learned that she had a deeper understanding of love, and to still hear daily, the sound of her notification reminders to face time Domenick was the validation of her love for him, and his family, who welcomed her into their lives as well.
Kamrin was very sweet to everyone she met, a great friend, and you can always count on her to keep secrets. I can’t say no one will never know just how wonderful a person she was, because everyone already knew. She was very compassionate, giving, funny, smart, and so beautiful with her fair skin, and dark hair. She cherished her friendships, and loved her family unconditionally.
Always putting others first, this precious gift, our daughter, we are thankful for the time we were given with her.
Kami’s screams from gaming late at night, and the smell of her baking for her family will be missed, May she continue what she loved to do while with us on earth, continue eternally.
