Kevin James Opdenaker

Kevin's parents moved to San Diego, California, when he was a toddler. He attended local schools and considered himself a native Californian. He graduated from Eastlake High School in 1995 and attended Southwestern College in Chula Vista. He worked at various jobs but liked those that allowed him to work outdoors in the construction industry.

In his free time he enjoyed outings with his two young sons, Kevin Jr. and Johnny. He liked to go camping locally at Pio Pico Park. Time spent with his sons included fishing, baseball and bowling. Also included in their ventures was his favorite pet, Sparky, the pittbull. Kevin will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Kevin was predeceased by his father, John Edward Opdenaker, on July 18 2016. He is survived by his two sons, Kevin James Opdenaker Jr. and John A. Opdenaker, his mother Joyce Marie Opdenaker and his older brother Richard Opdenaker.

A private celebration of life memorial service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910, on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Serenity Chapel. Deacon Lane Litke will officiate the prayer service.
