Born in southern Vietnam 1947 to Do Van Linh (father) and Nguyen Van Lan (Mother). She is the second oldest of six daughters.
KieuVan had the sassiest but funniest humor. She likes watching comedies like Benny Hill, Three Stooges, to the Colbert Show. She did live a hard life, but she made the best of it as she knew how. If you sit down with her and let her talk, she would talk about her life. From being jealous of her sisters, getting ran over by a motorcycle because she wanted candy, almost drowning in the ocean and some guy saving her, leaving Vietnam in ’75, to life as we know it now. She loved looking at the ocean, being around in flower gardens, taking walks at the park. She wanted to be around family.
As difficult the life she had endured, these last two years would be the least difficult but the most challenging as she, over time, lost abilities to walk, talk, and eat. She had three to five grandchildren with her at all times. She got to see her first great grandson. Though I was not her direct caregiver 24/7, we saw her everyday and we had a great caregiving team at the house. She had a place in Hawaii and here she called HOME. The team, the family, comforted her beyond what was said was needed. She deserves it all. November 22nd , past midnight, she peacefully took her last breath. No external struggles. Not alone.

KV was a solder technician. Soldering resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, etc … to circuit boards.
KV was not really a homemaker – she held a lot of jobs to help support the family.
KV liked to sing. There’s a type of songs in Vietnamese culture called “War Songs”. I remember as a kid she would sing from time to time in the house. It’s almost like deep country, southern twang.
KV always wanted the opposite of what is going on. Lol. Can you recall your many memories of this? “Walking contradiction”.
KV has 11 grandchildren and one great grandson**.

KV has eight children plus two. She would talk about the two children but openly to a lot of people. You just have to get her in “story time” mode and she’ll share everything.
