Our dearest Kyle was taken from us too soon, a tragedy that has left a hole in the hearts of so many people. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He had a huge extended family with several aunts and uncles and three generations of cousins.
Kyle was born in San Diego, CA on November 9th, 1984 to Joanne Beals Delangel and Tomas Delangel. He was raised in National City, CA where he attended Olivewood Elementary, National City Middle, and graduated from Sweetwater High School in 2002. During high school he was on the wrestling team, the swim and the dive team, and the Red Rebels Pep Crew. He made life-love friendships with many people. Several of his friendships started in grade school and were cemented in high school, many of his friends considered him to be a brother. They had so many adventures, enjoying the local beaches, parks, and camping. Kyle had a positive effect of everyone who knew him. Several people said that he helped them through dark times in their lives by not judging them and providing a safe place of comfort and acceptance along with an awesome sense of humor that lifted their spirits.
In July 2005 and May 2009 he welcomed his daughters and in October of 2015 he welcomed his son. Kyle was a single father who loved his children deeply and he was driven to provide a good life for them. Kyle had an avid love of animals of all kinds. Growing up he had a variety of pets, dogs, cats, snakes, fish, and birds. The family would joke that he was the "Animal Whisperer" because even the most timid or aggressive animals loved Kyle. During high school and for many years after graduating he worked at Fiesta Pet shop in National City. After that he worked at RCP Block and Brick in chula Vista, Job Sity Supply in San Diego and Temco in San Diego. His coworkers have said that he brought up the energy levels at work to 100 with his infectious laughter and playful shenanigans.
Kyle had a beautiful voice and loved a wide variety of music. He was always singing, especially while driving. Anyone who rode in the car with him had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic "car concert". He also enjoyed watching movies of all genres with his children and family. During Sunday fundays he enjoyed watching football, especially The Chargers and feasting with is family.
Kyle loved drawing and was quite talented. He studied to be a tattoo artist. Some people are lucky enough to have his artwork tattooed on them. He passed his love of art and music onto his children.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Joanne Beals Delangel, her partner Danny Rodriguez, his children Giselle, Aubrey and Seth, his siblings Kristin Delangel, twin brother Matthew Delangel, Eden Gonsalves, brother in law Jacob Gonsalves, and sister in law Lauren Delangel. Also 7 nieces, Genevive, Isabelle, Nora, Angelina, Alexandria, Scarlett, and Violet. 2 nephews, Noah and Tomas. He is preceded in death by his father Tomas Delangel and grandparents Frances and Roy Beals.
A celebration of life for Kyle will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910, followed by a time of reflection from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
