Laura S. Temmer, of Chula Vista, California, passed away on June 12, 2018. She was born in Missouri on June 14, 1919. Laura was married to Harold E. Temmer from June 23, 1938, until his passing on January 6, 2009.
Laura taught third grade for many years at La Jolla Country Day School, where she was also a reading specialist. Prior to that, she taught in West Covina, California, and Western Springs, Illinois. She had a passion for art and excelled at creating beautiful stained glass pieces as well as painting using many different mediums. She was a perfectionist in all things. She loved to entertain and her parties were legendary and her secret recipes remain known only to a few. Laura often remarked how full her life had been and how grateful she was to have enjoyed so many happy years.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Cinda Temmer; her grandchildren, Lauren W. Dumas (Christopher) and Sharon L. Wezelman; as well as her great grandchildren, Sean E. Dumas and William H. Dumas. Laura leaves behind many life-long friends as well.
Her ashes and those of her beloved husband Harold Temmer will be scattered together at sea off the coast of San Diego. At Laura’s request, no services will be held
