Leon Isaac Boldridge III

Leon Isaac Boldridge III, a man of unwavering dedication and steadfast love, peacefully departed this world on August 21, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of honor, integrity, and cherished memories. Born on July 28, 1953, in Lexington, Missouri, Leon was the beloved son of the late Leon Isaac Boldridge Jr. and Elsie Mae Reddick. He was a devoted brother to the late Theresa Carol Boldridge and is survived by his sisters, Rachel Boldridge and Janice Graham.

In 1971, Leon embarked on a commendable journey with the U.S. Navy, where he trained as an Electrician's Mate in San Diego, California. His commitment and skill earned him the rank of Petty Officer First Class by the time he concluded his service in 1975. It was in San Diego where Leon met the love of his life, Charlotte (Benn) Boldridge. They wed in 1975, nurturing a beautiful family and raising three remarkable children: Theresa R. Butler (William), Preston L. Boldridge (Marisol), and Letia M. Boldridge-Lewis (Clarence). Leon's heart was further enriched by the joy of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Leon dedicated 42 years to his career as an electrician, known not only for his technical expertise but also for his mentorship of countless apprentices. His reputation for completing projects ahead of schedule was testament to his diligence and work ethic. After retiring in 2018, Leon devoted his time to pursuits that brought him peace and happiness, such as watching westerns, gardening, fishing, and tinkering in his beloved shed.

Baptized at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Topeka, Kansas, Leon held his faith close throughout his life. His straightforward approach and no-nonsense demeanor earned him the respect of all who knew him. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of family and friends.

Leon was preceded in death by his cherished wife Charlotte in late October 2025, a loss that deeply affected him. Yet, his enduring love and the memories they shared continued to be a source of strength for his family.
