I worked with Vic for a few years, and he provided me with many smiles and laughs.  Rest in peace, my friend.

He gave my dad a kidney. My family wishes there was a way to repay him. Thank you Vic.

I pray that God brings healing and peace to all those mourning Vic's untimely passing. It's so hard to comprehend why such a loved, hard-working and young person could be taken away from us so suddenly. God works in mysterious ways and if it's any consolation, we can only trust that His plan for Vic is greater than what we could ever have hoped for. 
I will never forget Vic's contagious laughter, the way his smile lit up the room, his dance moves, and how he outshone (and looked waaayy better) than the rest of the ladies and gents who performed with him during Hospital Week.
I feel blessed for having known you in my life, Vic. I wish I had taken the opportunity to bug you while you were working, and said hi the last time I stopped by LJ. I guess I'll see you when it's my turn. In the mean time, we will miss you so much! Rest in paradise, Vic!

My sincere condolences to the family. I will always remember Vic when passing our hallway and looking through his window/door, looking for a smile. He was a gentle, nice and understanding man, and yes, a great Zumba dancer that I tried keeping up with!!

I know that God has a plan that only he knows. I am so happy to have been hired here at Scripps, otherwise I never would of had the chance to meet and get to know him. I hope when he awakens from his rest, I will be there to greet him. Until then.  Arlena

Vic was a wonderful and funny person to be around every day.  His smile could light up a room!  I still want him to walk in and sit down every day, we are missing him terribly here.  He was always so excited when his dad was coming for a visit and to spend time with him...  Vic you will always be our "Star Diva".  We love you...

I'm sorry for your loss, my prayers goes out to all his family.  He was a great co-working that could put a smile on your face under any situation.  He always had a breatfast bar ready to give me when he wanted something done for the phone system. He was always so given and always talked about all the sweet desserts that he enjoyed eating.  He will be missed very much but he will never be forgotten.

I imagine there is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a child. My heart and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.

Our words are not adequate to express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Your son was an inspiration to everyone around him. We are blessed and lucky to have known his life and spirit, and I will keep his spirit alive with the many sacred memories we hold close to our heart.

We feel as though we are blessed one to have been graced by your son's big heart and his inviting personality. It is truly the mark of wonderful parents. Every bit of my heart goes out to you during this most difficult time. 

We are truly sorry for your loss. Loss of a child is heartbreaking. Our heart aches for you and your relatives. Vic Jr. was a wonderful child and we will miss him terribly.

 I met Vic In high school and went to Senior Prom with him. What a fantastic time with our friends!  Vic was so much fun, never a time did we  not have anything to talk and laugh about!  His smile lit up a room, and he was so intelligent.  

His parents were so proud of him.   Over the years when I ran into his Mom at Guam Memorial Hospital, she shared tidbits of his life with me.   It was great to know what he was up to and I felt mutually happy to talk about Vic with Mrs. Rivo.   Vic, I will always remember you my friend. May you rest

Vic - 23 years ago, you walked into my life with that wonderful smile and since then we have shared so many smiles and laughs. I will cherish every memory - from the time you introduced me to Thai food, to the Halloween parties,to just sitting on the bench outside the hospital, where we thought we were figuring out life! I am honored to have been able to call you my friend and I will miss you so very much! My thoughts and prayers to your family as they face the difficult days ahead without your bright light in their lives.

My condolences to Vic's family and friends. I was a close friend with Vic during our days at St. Anthony School and Father Duenas Memorial. He was such a fun person to be around. He was smart, made a lot of jokes, easy to get to know and was very generous with his time to make you feel at home.  After college, he went to San Diego and although we occasionally kept in contact, it was like we did not miss a heart beat when we reconnected.
