Luis is survived by his hija Maria Pina; and his hijo Alfredo Valdez; his hermano Salvador Valdez, his hermana Rosina Valdez, his hermano Fortunato Valdez, his hermano Enrique Valdez, his hermana Selina Valdez, his hermano Francisco Valdez, his hermana Rosa Valdez, his hermano Icidoro Valdez, his hermana Nicolasa Valdez, his hermana Elfega Valdez, his hermano Antonio Valdez, his hermano Nasario Valdez and his hermano Ernesto Valdez.
Luis was preceded in death by his esposa Carmen Gomez; his hijo Rury Valdez.
