Maria was born on May 26, 1924, in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico, to Guillermo Muñoz and Heriberta Gutiérrez Munoz, Maria was married to the love of her life, Pedro Nevárez Herrera, for 55 wonderful years until his passing on December 7, 1999.
Maria is survived by her loving children: María Luisa, Ramona, Mercedes, Amalia, Maria Juana, José Luis, Christina, and Margarita. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her 73 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, guidance, and unwavering devotion to family.
Maria found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She was known for her kind heart, warm spirit, and generous nature, always welcoming loved ones with a home-cooked meal and making sure no one left hungry. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and her prayers and blessings were gifts she shared with everyone she loved. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and unconditional love to all who knew her.
Maria will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her love, faith, and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
