Maria Luisa Perez

She was born in Jalisco, Mexico on April 7th, 1923, the first daughter of Gumercindo and Alta Gracia Mojica. She was the first daughter of eleven siblings. She moved from Mexico to the United States to assist her only sister, Lupe, with her first born daughter in 1957. She met John Rosendo Perez in Los Angeles and they were married on June 14th, 1961. She raised three daughters and had a passion for gardening, golfing, and sweets.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Rodriguez (Jesse), Marie Vicario-Fisher (Robert) and Patricia Nooney (James); grandchildren Elizabeth, Stephani, John, Victoria and Samuel, and great-grandson, Greyson. Surviving siblings are sister, Lupe Prieto, and her brothers Peter and Arturo Mojica.

A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral mass will occur Monday, December 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 450 Corral Canyon Road, Bonita, CA 91902. Her eternal resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA 92102
