Marvin Marshek

He served in the U.S. Army, then married Ruth Drews, January 1st 1948. They had 3 children – Susan, Janie and Paul; 6 grandchildren - Leon, Lori, Loren, Sarah, Amy and Luke; 3 great grand children – Brooklyne, London and Heaven. Marv and Ruth provided a home for numerous Foster children in the 1960’s. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth and grandson Leon.

He worked at the Manitowoc Shipyards in WI for 13 years. They moved to San Diego in 1956. He was employed at Rohr Industries for 30 years and retired in 1987. He then drove bus for the Sweetwater School District and volunteered at several community organizations including his Church and the Chula Vista Police Senior Patrol. He was a 25 gallon donor at the San Diego Blood Bank and was also a donor of blood platelets.

He married Mary Ann Liebelt of Meza, AZ in 1998, they resided part time in California and Arizona.

He was a member of Bonita Valley Community Church. He is survived by wife Mary Ann, children Susan, Janie and Paul, sister Phyllis, brother Glen, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and foster brother, Jim.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 14th at 1 PM – Bonita Valley Community Church 4744 Bonita Rd. Bonita, CA 619-475-8000
