

Miguel Angel Ruiz passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, California. He was the beloved husband of Kimi Wells-Ruiz. They shared 44 blessed years of marriage together.
Born in Oaxaca, Mexico he was the son to Ignacio Ruiz and Celia Sanchez. He grew up in Cananea and Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He attended technical school in Hermosillo, Sonora and attended San Diego High School in San Diego, California. He was employed at Sweetwater Union High School District and worked as a Plant Operations Supervisor at National City Middle School in National City, California.
He belonged to Bonita Valley Seventh Day Adventist church. He enjoyed travel, musicals, music, going to the movies, shopping for treasures at second-hand stores and walks on the beach. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor, honesty and his love for the Lord, family and his fellow man. He had a laugh that would fill up a room. If he called you "my friend", you were special indeed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimi Ruiz and children, Celia Young and Marcus Young, Cristina Ruiz and David and Stephanie Ruiz. Grandchildren, Jubilee Conklin, Alicia Ruiz, Rainn Ruiz and Malia Young along with Marcus and Myranda Young. His faithful pet dog Lucky. Miguel is also survived by his sister Irma Dolores Ruiz-Acuna and family in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 7, 2016 at 4:00pm at Bonita Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 3737 Sweetwater Road, National City California 91950
