Nan, you will be truly missed! I’m glad  I spent sometime with you when you were in the hospital in 2019. 
I think of all the fun memories my kids spent time with your grandkids. My kids loved you and they will always remember the fun loving person you were!

It's probably Halloween at the American Embassy in Japan about 35 years ago.

We have lost one of the most loved volunteers and friends from Sharp Chula Vista. As a real sweetheart in service, we remember her as a welcoming presence at the West Wing helping people with a self-less bright smile. Who could not feel the Love coming thru those baby blue eyes?  In the Emergency Department, she was a comforting factor of reassurance to patients, family and staff. She was a happy, smiling person to be around as she uplifted others and made them feel important. She loved to joke around too. As President of the Auxiliary, she provided concerned leadership to the people and hospital she loved. Working in Community Service, she was active in representing us in the neighborhood and organized Blood Drives. There is a special place in Heaven for people like Nan…and we know she is there now….With condolences to her loving family…Ray Beiter and Donna Della Rocca

Nan was an extraordinary person!  She was loving, caring, kind, helpful, and fun!  She loved her family and was very devoted to them. 
She was always very welcoming to her home.  Many years ago, my husband, Russ, and I met Nan at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  Nan and I were in the same Bible Study.  Nan inspired us because she joyfully volunteered a lot.  She was extremely generous with her time and talents.  She was a loving example of being a compassionate Christian.  It was our honor to know her and thankful she made a positive impact on our lives.  I will miss her smile, laugh and that special twinkle in her eyes.  Nan will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I am so sorry for your loss!  I knew "Nan" from St. Marks Lutheran Church and she was always a bright light with in the congregation!  I always enjoyed teasing her and she would give it back better than she received!  She was a wonderful person and I'm sure she will be missed by many!  God blessed her with a wonderful family and many friends!  May God continue to bless her family and friends from now until the end of times!  I'll miss her at church!

I loved Nan.  She ALWAYS had a smile or a funny story to share.  She knew no strangers and everyone was a friend.  She was a force to be reckoned with, she had so much energy.  She loved me and made me feel like family.  Rest in Peace.

2019 Visiting friends that work in the Sharp ER

I met Nan through Florence Belot Dunn, her aunt in law, my step mother, when she would come to St. James, NY to visit.  Many laughs and stories to be shared! I learned Nan's father was instrumental in the naming of Centereach. She would reminisce as we drove around. What happened to? There used to be a diner here and the like. She went to Smithtown Branch HS a few years behind Florence.  Surely she did not walk the 6 miles in the snow?  A Japan memory: she was invited to go pick grapes only to discover, while still attached to the vine, the bunches were already in plastic bags!  We rode past the house she and Artie had in Smithtown.  The owner, an author, was delighted  to let us in. We departed; he with new memories, Nan with one of his books.  She came in 2013 to celebrate Florence's 90th  which included a party at Little Africa. We visited her brother, Arthur, in CT one year. She loved her hospital volunteer work. I will remember her wonderful white hair, her smile, and joy in living.  Today I stopped at St James Episcopal Church Cemetery to say hello to the Murray and Waterbury graves. Peace be with you and my heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Our heartfelt condolences… Nan was our neighbor here in Windsor View community. 
She would stop by and talk with us during her neighborhood walks. She was a joy to talk with and she was a good neighbor.
