Patricia J. Kelleher

Patricia was born in the Bronx New York on October 9, 1924. She was the only child of Thomas J. Byrne and LuLu Schneider Byrne. She attended Mount St. Ursula High School graduating in 1942. She then attended The college of New Rochelle, also an Ursuline school, receiving a BA in 1946.

Patricia was married to John C. Kelleher for over 64 years until his passing in April of 2011.

Patrica taught in the Coronado School District for 18 years, teaching at the elementary level.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Coronado, volunteering her time there with altar preparations. After she retired from teaching in 1984 she also volunteered for Father Jo in downtown San Diego.

Patricia is survived by 5 children. Mary Ellen Zaske, Michael J. Kelleher, Anne P. Veling, Kathleen M. Mathis and Thomas J. Kelleher.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 655 C Avenue, Coronado, on Saturday May 14th at 9am.
