She was born in Pomona, CA on July 31, 1922.
She was married to Joseph Zumstein on October 8, 1939. (69 years of marriage)
In addition to fulfilling various duties on the dairy, Paula was a hardworking "homemaker" in every sense of the word - cook, baker, housekeeper, seamstress, gardener, crafter - but above all she worked the hardest at being a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to all.
Paula's number one passion seemed to be caring for others. Everything she did, from baking a myriad of cookies to mailing birthday cards with the perfect hand-written sentiments, was done to make others feel loved. She seemed to find the most joy in conversations with family members near and far and watching her great grandchildren play and eat treats! A gift hat Paula has always given to those who know her is the gift of laughter Her sarcastically witty and sassy comments kept her family smiling even during her last days.
She was predeceased by her spouse Joseph Zumstein (2009) and children Louise Wick, Emily Zumstein, and Louie W. Zumstein. She is survived by her son Joseph Zumstein Jr., grandchildren Bernie Wick, Timothy Wick, Louie J. Zumstein Malolo Childress, Lindsay Stump, 11 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
