I love you so much grandma. I told you every time I hugged you, how beautiful you are and I loved the way it made you smile. You raised me, you were my other mother. It hurts so much that you are gone. You brought the whole family together, you were the main reason why we got together because you were loved by everyone. You are a strong, beautiful mother who raised wonderful children, grandchildren and great grand-children. I only hope to continue to make you proud of me. You will always live on in my memories and the stories that our family will continue to share. I love you forever and ever grandma!

Nothing can put into words the unconditional love that you had for your children, grandchildren and every person you cared for. I love the feeling I would get walking into your house growing up and smelling the scent of fresh food on the stove. I love giving you hugs and squeezing you just to hear the sound of your beautiful laughter followed. I only wish I could hug you and tell you "I love you" to hear you say it back one last time. Thank you for blessing me with the most amazing mother I could have ever asked for. Thrift shopping will truly never be the same without you nana moni. Con amor para siempre.

I first want to thank you for being the woman you were and the mother you were to my mom. By knowing her, I know the woman you were. You shaped her into the beautiful, kind, but also no nonsense person that she is. I miss you and the memories you hold. I miss the big hugs you'd give and the feel of love in them. I miss the days where I'd go to your house after school, and I'd hope my cousins would come by so we could go outside to play on the side of your house and pick the sour grass that grew freely. What I feel is sadness overall, but I'm also so happy that you're not hurting anymore. You're free from the pain your body gave you, you're free from the worries. The impact you've had on my life will last forever and I can't wait to see you again one day. I love you nana.

   Gracias por su carino,apoyo y confianza. Extranare nuestras platicas tan llenas de buenas recomendaciones y tantas cosas positivas que usted me enseno. Aunque me quejara de su hijo, usted siempre me daba la razon y me apoyaba, ahora quien me va a dar por mi lado? Quien le va a jalar las orejas a popo? No sabe cuanto falta nos va a hacer, pero se que ahora estara feliz con sus padres y demas familiars y amigos que estaran gozando de su compania como nosotros la gozamos. Diosito la reciba en su casa y le permita seguir velando por todos nosotros.

Mi querida nana, no puedes saber cuanto te voy a extranar.  Me gustaba ir a tu casa y tener nuestras conversaciones y que te acurrucaras conmigo y me dejaras chiquiarte. Comparto con ustedes el recuerdo de un acto muy representativo de su discreta manera de manifestarme su cariño. Cerca de esta ultima Navidad, me dijo que me tenía unas guayabas que había cosechado de su jardín. Cuando llegué a su casa por ellas, me señaló una bolsa en la que las había puesto. Estaba sobre una caja, entre otras cosas, en la mesa del comedor. Recogí la bolsa y ella, con entera modestia y evadiendo la mirada, me dijo que también la caja era para mí. Evidentemente, era su discreta manera de entregarme un regalo, mí querida tía Ramona, dechado de moderación y prudencia. El regalo era un sweater guinda, que con mucho amor escogí portar para esta su despedida.

Soy la mujer que soy por ti!  Yo siempre quize que estubiras muy orgullosa de mi. 
Te voy a extranar asta la luna y pa tras! Tu me acompanabas todas las noches cuando
 salia del trabajo y yo manejaba para mi casa. Que no nos patlicabamos, todo! Pero
 no me preocupo mamacita,  porque yo se que no voy a estar sola,  tu me vas a companar 
siempre, y  yo te voy a paticlar como siempre.  Tu siempre me decias Esther tienes que ser fuerte, y lo voy a hacer por ti! Entonces cuando me veas sonrie, porque yo voy a estar sonriendote ati.  Por mi papacito como yo te prometi,  yo y tus hijos lo vamos a cuidar.
