Richard Steven Hanley

A San Diego-area native, Rick loved everything about the ocean, especially surfing.

Rick had retired from his job as an equipment operator for the City of San Diego several years before his passing. Rick is survived by his by his younger brother Paul, and younger sister, Lynette.

Those who knew Rick well will always remember him as a quiet, hard-working, loyal friend and older brother who valued personal responsibility and the wonders of the natural world.
