

Ronald Lee Leake, born June 23,1931 to January 14, 2016. Beloved Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Uncle. Born and raised in Perry Missouri the twin son of a farmer. Graduated from Perry High school where he was on the basketball and baseball teams. Upon graduation in 1952, Ron enlisted in the United States Navy where he became a dental tec. and a seaman on the USS Pine Island, the ship was station in Okinawa and the Pescadores Island, it made three more stops on its way back to the United States by way of the US Midway Island and Pearl Harbor over the four years. Ron was also a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. The navy brought Ron to San Diego where he met fell in love and married Paula Torres in 1956. Around the same time Ron started his family and his long rewarding job with Rohr Industries where he was promoted from area to area within the company for 38 years with many accomplishments one of which was the space shuttle, he retired in 1993. Ron and Paula had 3 children Ronnie, Michael, and Eleanor, over the last 5 decades Ron planed many family trips back home to Missouri to reunite with his large extended family. He had taken the children to many national parks and states, he was the true “family man”. Ron and Paula have lived in Chula Vista for the past 59 yrs. Ron is proceeded in death by his parents Robert & Elizabeth 3 Sisters Eloise, Beryl, & Helen. Ron leaves behind 1 sister Ruth and his twin brother Donald also His beautiful wife Paula 2 sons Ronald & Michael (April), 1 daughter Eleanor (Stephen),8 grandchildren Eleanor Paula, Ronald jr., Jennifer, Jeannette, Robert, Christopher, Amber, and Michelle. 11 great grandchildren, with one do this spring also many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to; The American Heart Association, The National Diabetes Association, or Alzheimer’s Association.
