Rosa Alamillo Vazquez, 79, of National City, California, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and closest friends.
Born on October 14, 1946, to Graciela and Benjamin Alamillo in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Rosa grew up with a heart for serving others. She married her beloved husband, Manuel Reyna Vazquez in 1962. Together, they built a home filled with faith, love, and dedicated service to God.
Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She faithfully served in her church for over 40 years, helping with various events and the children's nursery. She loved music and sought to learn as much as she could, which led her to enroll in private piano lessons, sing in the church choir and praise band, and participate in the "Rondaya" at the Chula Vista Senior Center. In years past, she was active in the mission field along with her husband, Manny, and children for several years in Mexico.
Rosa always had a smile on her face as she welcomed others at church, family gatherings, or into her home. She offered a warm meal or a listening ear to anyone in need. Her life was a testimony of Proverbs 31 "Her children raise up and call her blessed."
She is survived by her children Oscar (Maria) Vazquez, Rosa Carolina (Guillermo) Salazar, Grace (Abel) Vazquez-Hau, Richard (Laura) Vazquez, eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Reyna Vazquez, her mother, Graciela Villalobos, and her stepfather, Miguel Pablo Villalobos. Rosa's family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, where there is no pain or sorrow, only everlasting joy.
