Stephanie J. Maschinski

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie was born on February 6, 1921, the 5th of seven children to Amielle and Joseph Fedesna. Raised in a loving household, Stephanie worked and gained skills as a seamstress, cook and accountant.

Her 1944 marriage to Bernard A. Maschinski, a career U.S. Navy man, opened her life to travel and adventure. Together they traveled to and lived in Hawaii, Georgia and Florida where their daughters were born and on to California, Japan and Washington before returning to Illinois. After Bernard's death in 1979, Stephanie moved to Redlands California and later to Chula Vista, California.

Predeceased by siblings Joseph and Alex Fedesna, Helen Nasiata and Celia Wilewski and her beloved husband Bernard. She is survived by her brother Nicholas Fedesna, sister Jean Sparkman, daughters Susan Schmidt, Jane Ranz and Joyce Maschinski, sons in law John Ranz and Jan Schmidt, grandchildren Greg Ranz and Mira Petersen and nieces and nephews.

We shall greatly miss her loving generous spirit.
