-I am still finding this news very, very hard to believe. I worked with Swatja for 30+ years, he was indeed a brilliant designer, inventor and friend. And we all have learned from his expertise. he will be missed. RIP my friend

I am still finding this hard to believe... I am sending hugs and prayers to Susan and his daughters.  Just so very sad.

Very sorry to hear of Swatja passing. I knew him when he came to work for B&H Manufacturing and throughout our careers in Roll-Fed. Swatja was a brilliant design and calculating Engineer. He could amazingly put the math to any design concept whether it be his or another's. I traveled with Swatja on several occasions for Business, But my fondest was when we rented a car in Milan Italy and drove to Pisa to visit my relatives then on to Potenza on the Amalfi Coast to audit one of our machines. I saw him last at the PMMI in Chicago in 2013 when he told me he would be retiring and would pursue this dream of sailing. I'm sure his spirit will carry on and skid the 7 seas as he planned. Swatja you will be missed and remembered.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Swatja. I have known Swatja since he had first started working for B&H Labeling Systems in the early 80's. He was my boss then, and I considered him a very dear and good friend of mine. I have known his first wife (Irene) and their two daughters Katerina and Barbara, and had spent some wonderful times with them camping and fishing in the Serra Nevada mountains. Swatja loved fishing, camping and everything that the outdoors offered. Swatja had shared with me some of his stories about his passion for sailing. It is so sad that things have ended up this way for him. GOD BLESS to you Swatja. I know that you are now sailing into the blue skies of Heaven. I know that you are very much LOVED and MISSED by all who knew you.
