Wanda "Sandy" Markowitz of San Diego, CA, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the age of 93 years old. She was born in Earlsboro, OK on July 10, 1924. Sandy graduated from Kingfisher High school. She was married to I. Edward "Mark" Markowitz on September 24,1955. Sandy worked at Convair, Ocean Realty and owned a flower & record shop. She was a member of the California Optometric Auxiliary and had a passion for Music, Flowers ,Poetry and most of all her Family. She is survived by daughters Lisa R Sumlin, Michelle Moret and Karen Markowitz, grandchildren Syda Stark, Marisa & Mia Moret, Ali Rubin, Vanessa, Leilani and Shane Markowitz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00am at Unity San Diego Church: 3770 Altadena Ave., San Diego, CA 92105
Sandy will be laid to rest with her husband I. Edward "Mark" Markowitz at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
