Kay was born on July 25, 1923 in Carnegie, PA to William McCartney and Catherine Maloney and died February 25, 2013 in Fair Oaks, CA. She graduated from St. Luke’s High School in the Class of 1941. Kay married James Herron in 1943. She worked for the State of California, Dept. of Justice and retired in 1986. She is survived by children Jim Herron (Sue) of Utah, Kathleen Dickinson (Morris) and Dan Herron both of CA. Kay is also survived by five grandsons Tod, James and Chris Herron, Michael Finuf and Joshua Robinson and three great grandchildren Caplan Bourgeois, Ashleigh Steiner and Kaitlynn Mussoloni. Kay was preceded in death by her husband James and sons William, Michael and Patrick Herron. At her request no services will be held.
