

Cecelia Rippetoe – Born on June 26, 1914 in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. Cecelia was 96 years old at the time her death on February 27, 2011. Cecelia’s parents and older sister migrated to the US from Austria/Hungary in 1913. Cecelia was raised in North Dakota and moved to Sacramento in 1938 after her brothers joined the military and were stationed in the area. In 1944 her sister (Mary) and father also moved to Sacramento. In 1948 while working at Heart’s Restaurant Cecelia met her future husband William (Bill) Rippetoe. They were married November 18, 1948 and after some years of travel with the Air Force they settled in the Sacramento area.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and her two brothers (Henry and Frank Welsch) and one sister (Mary Welsch). Cecelia leaves behind three daughters:\; Cheryl Ross of Texas, LaVerne Roelen of Citrus Heights, and Darlene Sedlacek of Citrus Heights. Sons-in Law; Ken and Max, grandchildren: Christopher, Amy, Michael, Gary, Stephanie, Melonie and Richard; great grandchildren: Gabby, Emily, Kevin, Chloe, Michael, Cecelia (Cece), Brianna, Jayden, and Julie. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Marcia, Kathy, Arleen, Evy, Frank, Judi, and Pat and her special friend and caregiver for many years, Shirley Sedlacek, a truly loving and wonderful person. Remembrances can be sent to Mercy Hospice or charity of donor’s choice. Friends are welcome for visitation Thursday March 3, 2011 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Reichert’s Funeral Chapel, 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610 and to attend Funeral Services Friday, March 4, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Reichert’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628
