
She was happily married to Egidio “Joe” Danti for over 55 years and is survived by her two daughters, Dianne Cardona and Joanne “Jo” Danti. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren (Steven Foster, Kevin Foster, Elisa Gouveia, and Christopher Danti) and 3 great grandchildren (Elisabeth Gouveia, Shelley Gouveia, and Dominic Foster) as well as substantial extended family. She was preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Dolores Manzitto, Dorothy Perry, and Virginia Pertel. Her younger brother, Frank Costello continues to reside in the Sacramento area. During World War II Lois served in Hawaii as a civilian working for McClellan Air Force Base and was stationed at Hickam Field. When she returned home, she attended Business College where she learned typing, shorthand, and stenography and later, became an executive secretary for the prosecuting attorney of Sacramento. Once married she devoted herself to her family but returned to work after her children were grown. She was the office manager at Foreman and Clark Clothing store for 13 years before she retired. Lois will always be remembered as the most loving, caring, and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. No one could wish to know a finer person, much less have the privilege of calling her, “Mom”. She will be missed now and forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Reichert’s Funeral Chapel 7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 916-729-2229 and a Funeral Mass at St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Chapel 6700 21st Ave Sacramento, CA on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 10:00am with interment to follow.
