Gladys was born on a snowy morning of December 1923 . It was in a old farm house with no electricity or running water in Iowa. She worked the farm with her dad and went to school until she was in the 8th grade. Her father would not let her go to high school because she was needed on the farm. She moved out when she was 18 and later met the man who was to be her husband. He moved her to the Los Angeles area . He was in the service and she worked building bombers and fighter planes. She then moved on doing other jobs waitressing and other jobs before becoming a beautician. She lived in the Redondo Beach area untill 1970 when she moved to Rio Linda, CA.She got a small farm and worked with cattle like she did when she was a child. Gladys passed away October 5, 2010 living in a good friend of her's home in Rio Linda .
