Devoted wife to Jesus Ruiz Nunez of 60 years. Mother of 10, Delores, Serbando, Cesar, Richard, Jesus, Jackie, JoAnna, Jimmy, Judy and Jaziel. Grandmother of 38 children, great grandmother of 60+.
Our mother was born to migrant farm workers, working the fields of Texas until she settled in Chicago, Ill. Mother owned and operated a small grocery store where she met my father who turned out to be her great lifelong love.
Mother and Father moved to California in 1960, where they built a life and raised their 8 children. Mother helped Father operate their Ice Cream business and Mexican Restaurant. Lupe was a caring woman even in her final years when words were difficult for her to express she spoke words of positivity to all of those that were around her.
