John Seymour Jenks was born in Detroit Michigan to Seymour and Emma Jenks on May 31, 1925 and entered in to rest on April 4, 2014 in Granite Bay California. John was preceded in death by his wife Marlyn, and is survived by son John (Margaret) Jenks of Colorado, daughter Brooke (Lou) Schmidt of Granite Bay, and son Blaine (Phyllis) Jenks of Arizona; as well as his sister Mary Ellen (Adrian) Lewis of Colorado, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
John served in the US Army and The Marine Corps in both World War II and Korea. He was one of the original founding employees of the Ford Motor Credit Company and a member of the Masonic Lodge / Shriners in Florida.
John and Marlyn spent their retirement years in Florida, Tennessee, and California.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11 AM at the Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Chapel, 35667 W. 8 Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152
