Born in Sacramento on June 26, 1932, Karla was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Van Alstine) Lentz. After Alfred’s passing, Alice married Elmer “Ted” Fredericksen who became Karla’s loving stepfather. Karla was the wife of the late Ival Shelby and of the late Rulon “Bill” Tillotson.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband Ival Shelby, granddaughter Stephanie Tillotson, sister Linda (Lentz) Byleckie and son George Tillotson. She is survived by son William Tillotson and his wife Patricia, and granddaughter Michelle (Tillotson) Rudd and her husband Carl.
Karla was a lifelong resident of Sacramento graduating from Sacramento High School and attending Sacramento Junior College.
