

Kathy Cook passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning. August 25th, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in San Francisco, California in the summer of 1949. Kathy graduated from Foothill High School in 1967. She obtained an associates degree from American River College. She briefly worked at Bella Vista High School helping students, and was an interior decorator in Gold River. Kathy met the love of her life while he was building a fence on her mother's property, and the rest is history. In 1970, they were married and started their life together in Citrus Heights. Kathy had been a resident of Citrus Heights for 50 years and was a pillar in the community. She was involved with the Relay for Life, Hearts for Parks, and the Red, White, and Blue Parade. She was the founder of the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band. They have created scholarships and will continue to do so in her legacy. Kathy loved to work outside in the garden and always had the most beautiful flowers. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, sisters Linda (David), and Jeanette, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces (great and great-great), nephews (great and great-great), large extended family, and her marching band children.
